1. A Positive Mindset

I believe with a positive mindset - you can conquer the world! Just like the Thai saying - kub tee yoo dai, kub jai yoo yark - I can live in a tight space, but if my heart isn't free, then I can't survive. Therefore, spending 24 hours at home - is about making the heart feel happy. Yes, we are in unprecedented times, but this won't last forever. Therefore, instead of feeling confined, why not think of this as a time for a vacation? a time to enjoy life? Think about all the extra time we have on our hands from not having to commute/go shopping/ etc. Let's use this to reconnect with ourselves and enjoy the quality time.

2. Connect

At our essence, we are social beings. Even though we can't meet each other physically, technology has never been greater with video calls where we can talk & see our loved ones at anytime. Just might want to give a heads up as some might not want you to see them in their mickey mouse PJ's at 3 pm 🙈😜

3. Breathe

Take some time to breathe, to meditate and to be mindful - where you can acknowledge your feelings. It's ok to be NOT OK as well. As long as we know that, then we can deal with it - be it finding some relaxing activities, journal writing, or calling a loved one. I personally love to follow guided meditations, sound healing and walking in nature.

4. Daily Movement

Our home may not be as fully equipped as our regular gym, but there are a ton of ways we can exercise - with whatever we have at home - even if it means being a little resourceful. I try to mix it up - barre classes (FB: Physique 57 Bangkok), Zumba (FB: LukmikesoOfficially) , Yoga and online classes with my personal trainer to share a few. The options are endless - so find whatever floats your boat.

5. Smile

Remind ourself that the world is a beautiful place and to be grateful for having this chance to live in this world. Whenever you pass a mirror, stop for a second and smile. 😀 When the pandemic is over, I am pretty sure we will miss this quiet time at home. Soak it up. Enjoy it while it lasts.

XOXO
